Local Government as Last Line of Defense

In the face of the upcoming 2024 federal elections, uncertainty looms over marginalized minorities, leaving us at a critical juncture. The potential for significant changes and a departure from progress necessitates our focus on local government as our last line of defense. It is both our duty and moral obligation to rise up and champion justice at the local level. The decisions made in Washington hold immense power to impact the lives of historically oppressed and marginalized individuals. As a gay man, I believe the city must stand as a beacon of hope amidst the storm, upholding and cherishing the rights and dignity of every individual.
