Climate and Environmental Action

I am very concerned about the repercussions of the climate crisis, and do not accept that we have to balance other priorities with climate action. We have gotten past the point of protecting the future. The crisis is now.

I am not only deeply committed to addressing the urgent need for climate action, waste reduction, and sustainability in Hillsboro, but I have also actively engaged with organizations such as Westside Planet Alliance and 350PDX to make a tangible impact. As a supporter of the 30x30 plan to protect 30% of our oceans, lands, and freshwaters by 2030, I recognize the importance of preserving our environment for future generations. I have dedicated my time and energy to working alongside residents, organizations, and local businesses in implementing sustainable practices. I also host community recycling events and encourage the 5 R's: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose, and finally Recycle.
